Teenager in Swadlincote Denies Kidnapping
Only wanted a free ride.
A teenager has denied helping to kidnap a man and forcing him on a terrifying drive at gunpoint through Derbyshire.
Richie Dyke, 18, of The Close, Linton, Swadlincote, is accused of assisting the kidnap and robbery of Oliver Sartain-Berry.
Yesterday, Derby Crown Court heard that Dyke told police he had merely tried to appease the other person involved in the incident and had only wanted a free ride.
