The Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Entomological Society is open to all those interested in insects, beginner or expert. Membership of the Society offers:
Indoor meetings, at the Visitor Centre, Shipley Country Park, near Heanor are held periodically. These meetings are informative and pleasant social occasions. They include talks by visiting lecturers and members, slide shows and discussion evenings.
Field meetings are held usually between May and September, in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. These stimulate site recording and provide an opportunity to learn field techniques and identification skills.
